The Myriad Hotel
In 2019, we partnered with Weyland Ventures on a multi-brand concept that included a hotel, swim club, restaurant, coffee shop, and retail group. Each property needed its own brand identity, yet they also had to complement each other. After COVID put the project on hold, we picked it back up again last year, starting with renaming the hotel. The original client provided name, “Disco-tel,” didn’t quite fit. We landed on “Myriad,” inspired by a 1916 patent for the world’s first disco ball, which was manufactured right on the property for decades. The building also housed a switchboard facility, which informed the name of the coffee shop. The restaurant, named “Paseo,” was a client suggestion. We developed logos, signage, and collateral for each brand, ensuring they aligned with our extensive research and the overall concept of the property’s history. The result is a cohesive blend of modern design and historical homage, tying together the rich legacy of the site.
