Atlantic No. 5
A5 was a blank-slate project, set in an empty historic building on West Main St. The goal was to create an artisanal restaurant focused on breakfast, coffee, and lunch for the downtown business district. The name “Atlantic No. 5” was inspired by an antique miner’s lunchbox from Appalachia, a fascinating find during our research that resonated with the theme of craftsmanship and tradition. The brand was thoughtfully developed to reflect the artisanal menu and the building’s rich history. The logo, website, and collateral were designed to embrace natural materials and handcrafted processes, capturing the essence of quality and authenticity. The architectural design and signage reflected subtle historical influences, reclaimed materials, and raw finishes, blending perfectly with the space’s character.
